I know there are no cheats, but there are hax.

Actually, i have seen a hack. I was on a server and this guy kept flying (literally) across the map. We were on a ctf map and i had killed him and i had gotten the flag, but in like 3 sec, he zooms in and kills me. There was no lag, and he said that he was testing out a "superman" hack.

theres always hacks. in the forms of many things to make your soldat degrade. or they make one that helps himself. hacking is boring since you cant get better and like get "new weapons" and stuff like that. hackers a dumb.

Hacks? My sig is proof. I just sometimes use it for fun, but never public.

I go into a game, clearly see if someone cheats, I votekick them, explain the reason. And what do I hear? NO SUCH THING AS CHEATS OMFG NOOB LAG! =P But it is cheats. THat simple, so I wanna kill the rumours about no cheats existing.

Goten or Goten the Speed Demon has some kind of a speed hack that lets him fly all over the place. He usually hangs out on HT clan server, and I could never vote kick him. He possibly has protection against vote kicks.

HT people should ban his sorry ass

It's a good idea to know about the hacks in soldat. Perhaps even try them out yourselves, though not on public servers.

Why is it good to know? If you don't know what people are capable of, you can't for sure tell if they're hacking. Many people fresh to Soldat will confuse good skill with hacking. Things like infinite jets, going much faster than possible, and never having to reload are things to look out for. However improvements on aim and an uncanny ability to survive aren't hacks... I think. :|

Despite how tempting hacking is, I would never do it. 1. I don't need them, 2. It ruins everyone elses fun, and probably makes the game boring afterwards :D
I prefer getting skill normally. Much more satisfying than cheating.

usually you can tell whether people are cheating... Some newbies can't tell, or won't tell the difference because they want to think they're the bestest out of the rest of the "Soldier"s. It's really noticeable in Soldat, moreso than CS or The Specialists.

What power other than making software that gives cheaters an unfair advantage do cheaters have over normal people? The fact that they suck so much that they need this software is not a power; if anything, it's a statement - they are so bad at a small shareware game that they need programs to give themselves this advantage. Edit: It's less fun too.

There is an anti-cheat protection for Soldat, however cheaters find a way to get past it, just like many commercial games.
