EDIT: Updated for version 5. Interface updated..

I modified the Steyr Aug into my favorite WW2 weapon, the FG42.

I think the interface graphic looks a lot better this time around.

I've also provided a new firing sound for it as well, on top of modified clip and bullet pictures for the weapon, since it uses 7.92x57mm Mauser rounds.

It looks a bit like the AK, but believe it or not, I hand-drew it in paint while looking on at several different pictures of the Fallschirmjäger Gewehr 42.

this version looks a bit better, but still kinda funky(the differences between hieghts looks too exagerated)

i dont fg42 will fit in with the other weapons..looks good though.

Heh, Not bad for free hand and it does look more like an Ak, have you ever played Socom II? The Steyer AUG on that is yellow and pretty nice.

I can't really help the fact that it looks like an AK.. there were only a few different "versions" of the FG42, and the only major differences are either a black (metal) stock, or a wooden stock.

I'll try and make the two look a little more different. -_-

why's that? it's easy to make really good interface-gfx/guns images on paint. ill prove it. give me a weapon to use, and if it's exotic, a picture.

Lapis did draw it. He even asked me how to improve it.

I drew it. I'm sorry you don't believe me. I also drew the picture in my signature. Both, in MS Paint.

I installed the henchin mod to see how it "feels" with the other guns, and I'd have to say that it fits very well. If you have playtested it, then I think you'll agree that the firing sound I use is indeed, quite awesome.

Now, onto the interface. I've made another version which is a bit more realistic, I suppose. I've added the flip-latch to the side and now, when you're facing left, you can see the gun's clip on the weapon graphics (very small). I'll upload new pics eventually.

If I'm thinking right, sativa, your avatar is too big (file size).

yea, and it's not even one of those really good michal-esque single weapon mods, either.
what's new in V5?

Minor changes. I made the stock longer so it matches the real gun a little more. Added the slight groove on it as well. Just, minor stuff.

my suggestion: make the barrel thicker, cuzthe way you have it, it's like, 2 pixels thinck :/

can't you just use the FG-42 from the Henchin-mod ?? and make the background green and there you have it :)
