About a week ago i upgraded my ATI 9200 to a Geforce 6600 GT. After playing around it and awing over its amazing graphics i decided to record to soldat demos with fraps only to find that it ran at only 6 fps. My old crappy 9200 ran at about 40 fps with fraps. I tried reinstalling fraps and soldat but nothing. Anyone know how to fix this??

Fraps doesn't have much to do with your graphic card, it just needs some CPU and a fast hard drive it can write to (I can capture smoothly using a GeForce 2 Ti).
You should make sure that your hard drive is running in DMA mode, not PIO.
How to enable DMA mode
Additionally defragment your hard drive (or the partition you save the Fraps files to).

Edit: How do the files turn out you recorded?

I have a p4 3.0 cpu and a 120 gig WDRHD, i dont think its that, as to running it in DMA mode, i will try that.
