When I try to start up either the map editor or the intmaker, I get this error:

"Error initializing 3D software. Now software will be used..."

Then I click OK, and I get this error:

"Could not initialize DirectX Graphics. You must have installed DirectX 8 or better and a 16, 24, or 32 bpp desktop to run this sample."

I downloaded DirectX 9.0c. Since I play Soldat fine, then shouldn't my video card work fine for the two programs? Please enlighten me.

Are you using the official editor?

I think it means you need DirectX 8.0 or higher. I'm not sure, but I used to get that error also. Reinstall DirectX and it should work after that. Post here if that helped :D

Yeah, I reinstalled it. It didn't fix it. My vid card sucks a lot, but I don't see why the intmaker and mapmaker wouldn't work because I can play Soldat.

My graphics controller is: Intel(r) 82810E Graphics Controller.
