Theres a certain 'bug' as I like to call it with the compile button. After you work long and hard on a map, straightening out edges and fining out hills and bases, you click compile and --expect-- your map to be the exact same it was before you compiled it, right?
Wrong. It changes, the edges get rough and 'bend' a little..or a lot.
One of my maps ive been making is ruined now due to this weird bug.
To sum it up:
Edges were perfect. Now their bent.

Supposedly, it makes it so that the polygons don't shift during compiling. It works for me with only minor problems (which were probably my fault to begin with).

Agreed, that problem is le suck.
Before, polys actually shifted so it opened up snags and stuff.

i hate that problems too, i downloaded jp's one and it looks awsome to work with
but were do i install it? inthe soldat folder or the mapmaker folder

nevermind, for others replace the old mapmaker with it

I have Map maker plus but compile map still changes edges..

This is a very annoying bug... Hopefully Anna's and Michals new Mapmaker can take care of that ^^

hmm old thread, but yeah there will probably be a better compile from Polyworks.
