No really, for those that have been here for awhile, keep in mind the number of servers and players you see whenever you hit "request servers". On average now, i see about 800+ players compared to the low 200 before.

Very good soldat community, keep it up!

But the server quality is low ;/

i'd prefer 200 to 800. wwwaaaayyyy too many bad/new players. i remember when himitsukichi used to be like, hella good.

Soldat getting bigger has its advantages and disadvantages.

But those 600 new players will get good in.... like ......6 months....?..And then we would have 1500 servers, and half of them will be good.....i dunno.....

at least 2/3 of new players will quit soldat soon.

and new ones will come so it will stay in a balance...

Maybe I'm missing it, but the first time I started playing soldat was back before there were any anti-hack stuff in it (I forgot the version number) and jerks were running around with full auto bottomless M79s. The community doesn't seem to have changed much, or maybe I wan't looking hard enough. Anyway, that's what passworded servers like c'n's are for.

in time things will get better... as long as thiers no major hacking...

true, there's a lot of really fast servers that are always empty. There are also lots of players that aren't so good, but that makes soldat grow "fatter", the little people. :D

What I wanna know: is this a boom of players that will die out, or will the number of Soldat players just steadily grow (perhaps even exponentially) untill the community overflows? I lean towards the boom theory myself...

Frankly, I hope the community... this community... stays about like it is in matters of population.

I personally think we need a few people here to make some dedicated password, CTF/INFs. Just sticky a thread with the passwords to them. Most of these "noobs" never come to the forums, let alone read the stickies, so these few passworded servers would be for us forum-goers only.

we need people with T1's that host a varity of different maps,modes, and settings...

I agree. This would be damn cool, and I agree that most noobs don't frequent the forums. This would also be an oppourtunity to play against other forum members that you might not ordinarily have a chance to fight. I think that if soldat keeps growing at this rate something will happen, I dunno maybe some big company will get to michael and soldat will be written off to faceless morons that make games for money...
