Why would it has to be anyone, dude? Lots of servers are down everyday. Appart from that, no people here with the ability to make a DoS attack on a server like that would do it.

It's not a DoS attack, palloco. DoS attacks tend to send the server offline, not just edit the site's contents.

I don't exactly see the connection between a defacing and DoS attacks.

Seems to me that someone found a bug in the script that Michal uses to manage the site; only the *.PHP pages are defaced, the rest is looking normal.

The update of the article says that it affects sites using phpBB, which is weird because Soldat.pl doesn't seem to run that. The same happened to someone in a channel I idle in.
Maybe the host of Soldat.pl is running phpBB somewhere and it got exploited and could change Michal's directory, even though it should have not been possible.
