yeh hi all,
in movies such as project X and short and sweet, a lot of the time you see a player throw his weapon up, fly under it, and catch it back. My question now is, how do you throw your weapon UP??
I've tried quite a few times and sometimes it works, but i don't know how i did it! what's the secret to this trick i'd like to know plz.

Wait until you drop down and then throw it...

Try and get a high jump, jet up and let go of the jets then as your falling drop your weapon then get underneath it and catch it ;o. Only easy when you know the answer.

well ok but then you're weapon still falls down and in the movies you really see the weapon fly upwards!!

well... Simple, Soldat is not the movies. And I wanna see you throw a 10kg weapon up and catch it without bone fractures. ;)

no i mean in the soldat movies!!

Yeah FN Minimi is a MASSIVE gun, and the Minigun isn't even designed to be held by human hands, but to be mounted on vehicles.

If Arnold could do it, then Soldaten can as well B-)

I tried it, and the only weapon I catch is the knife. which usually kills me.:(

The trick is, like Jaz said, to get somewhere up high, and start falling. About half a second after you start to fall, drop your weapon. It only looks like it's being thrown up, but it looks that way because the soldier is falling down faster than the weapon is, therefore the weapon looks like it's thrown upwards. Just M79 jump, start to fall, drop your weapon, get under it using the walking keys and jet boots, and your soldier will catch it. I could make a demo for you if you like.

Ahhhahahaha I too have caught many knives. Usually in the stomach...

if ya wanna do that knife juggling thingy, ya have to make sute the knife hits a poly above u and falles harmlessly towards the grounds like the lotus petal falles onto the pond

That was one of my actions when I first got Soldat and toyed around with the Combat Knife ;-)

or
open soldat, click join game, type in the name of the demo set the port to 0 then click join game.

Speaking of "grenade catching", I hit some guy with a grenade, and it blows up, but instead of the head sort of falling in an eliptecal, like it normally does, the head flew like a rocket!

There was a massive blood stream following it, and it all fell on me. I was so distracted by it, I got hit by my worst enemy, a Barret Assaulter.
