HI...i am having problems with soldat...i have directx 9.0c and soldat dont work...he cant found d3d8thk.dll...and i cant install it...i use windows 98...have anything that i can make?
how can i change directx 9.0c for direct x 9.0b or direct x 8.1? windows identify a newest version of directx and dont let me install :( cya

Methinks not you can "downgrade" your DirectX version; Windows won't let you. But I have DirectX 9.0c and Soldat works fine for me, although I do run a ME instead of a 98 (even then, aren't the two similar?). I'm not sure what the problem is, as I'm not a technical help expert, but I can almost guarantee you that it's not your DirectX causing the problem ;-)

Me ~= 98, pretty close in structure.

You can uninstall directx from the Add/Remove programs menu, then reinstall any verson you please. I would suggest uninstalling 9.0c and reinstalling it before you try using an older version

Erm, 'Search' Wouldnt have been a bad idea.

That never works for me; all my search results end up in errors :-?
I don't see DirectX as uninstallable in the Add/Remove Programs window...

[[[I had a problem with DiorectX long ago and the only solution was to uninstall windows, reinstall it and install directx again...i think its impossible to install a lower version than you have of directx...
