Soldat going slow

Ok when my computer was just restarted, Soldat runs good. But then in a day or too, it starts slowing down. The gameplay is kinda jagged. Like it freezes a little bit every couple of seconds. I tried to log in/log out but that does not help. I need to restart to make it work good. Would reinstall help?

I don't want to restart every two/three days to make the game run smooth. What might be the problem?

If this was answered before, for the record, I was too lazy to search

Check your FPS. I had this for quite a while actually, during which I had to pretty much close every running process in the background, any more and I'd be running safe mode.

The problem might be that you're only turning your computer off for a few seconds every few days. Your computer will heat up and won't be able to process as much when that happens.

I would suggest either turning it off for at least an hour or so every day, or buy those spiffy cooling fans to freeze up your computer.

Well, im disapointed you didnt search but, it might be your video card? or if you have installed something related to the apperance and display of the comp, or you might have uninstalled DirectX? try installing it again.

Ok, I don't think I even have a video card on this comp. It's a cheapass machine I bought from Dell about 6 months ago. I think it's shared video memory, but I have 512RAM, I mean that should be sufficient.

Meh, I dont want to restart the comp every day!!

vijch: no. Your computer can be as hot in 5 minutes as it will be in 3 months.

what are the specs of your computer? and have you also scanned for viruses/adware/random crap on your computer? many of these things just sit there and try to spread themselves around and eat up your CPU by scanning files. Some program you have running minimized/in your tray may have a memory leak and use up a lot of your RAM over a couple days, only cleared when you restart. if you have windows XP, go to the task manager and look at the Memory Usage column of the processes list. Check what programs are using the most RAM

BMF, stop downloading porn, it screws your computer. Now you need to format it

It may be spyware/adware slowing down your computer. Try running a program and see if it helps.
