In Real life, it may very well be spelt 'Barrett', but in Soldat, to which people refer to, it's Barret, so when you do, spell it correctly!

It's like the two words 'Where' and 'We're', they're pronounced the same, but spelt differently, and have to be spelt correctly in their proper context. There's no two ways about it.

You obviously don't get it! It's barret in Soldat, not barrett. In real life there may be no gun called "Barret", but this is Soldat, where number 8 is "Barret" sans-le-t. Let me provide you with another analogy. In some crazy euro language (I'll use french), soldat is spelled "Soldat". In some other crazy euro language (I think dutch), Soldat is spelled "Soldaat". However, the name of the game they play is Soldat, so they refer to it as "Soldat", not "Soldaat". The name of the sniper rifle in Soldat is "Barret", not "Barrett", so it should be referred to as the "Barret".

I doesn't matter whether he accidentally misspelled it or not (Which he didn't cause people have brought it to his attention, during quite a few versions, and he hasn't changed it), the fact of the matter is that that's how it's spelt in the game, and if you're gonna refer to it in writing, then you might as well spell it correctly.

Why doesn't someone e-mail Michal to ask him if he mispelled Barrett, or if he meant to use the word Barret. Because look at the AK-74. It's completely possible that he didn't want to use Barrett. If he answers, it would finally solve this mess of dog [IMAGE] that we're in.

What's wrong about the AK-74 Kazuki? If you are talking about AK-47 being the real gun... They exist both. 47 uses 5.45mm and 74 uses 7,62mm afaik. But I'm just assuming.

AK-74 is a real gun, like the rest of the guns. Barret is a misspelled Barrett. Hitman is either too dim to realize it, or he just made this thread to mess with my head. Also entirely possible.

Barrett name used in a game might insue copyright issues, maybe. Or he just got it wrong. Whatever, doesn't matter - since you're oh so picky about the name, i'll tell you barret is right as a name to define the 8th weapon. Because none of the rifles made by Barrett (name of the producer) work like the barret in soldat. Conclusion: weapon n8 doesn't exist in reality, therefore it's correct to call it barret. You can call it barrectum for what i care though.

Anyone ever considered that Michal might not be able to use "Barrett" because it may be a copyrighted name and he's not allowed to use it in shareware software?
