well... as a particle effect that would be cool, but it's very hard to program damagable polygons.

doesn't that happen already? Sparks and stuff fly up when shots hit a surface. Or do you mean like more dust and dirt flying up? That would be cool.

Well acutually dirt cant fly up but, like someones corpse if you shoot at it blood and its guts will fly everywhere ;P

I don't think it's possible to do destructable polys like there is destructable ground in Liero and Worms.

Of course; the whole situation is completely different, since those games go down to raw pixels o.O'
