instead of having to convert files and having to rip cd's all the time, i think it would be cool if you could play music files with the extension like .wma & .wav instead of just .mp3. i hate having to get mp3's with kazaa.

zambo, what does ripping CDs have to with the file extension?

Anyway, Soldat uses the FMOD library, which means that it should already be able to play the following formats:
MOD, S3M, XM, IT, MID, WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA, ASF, AIFF.
Just try create a playlist with something of the above and try it in Soldat.

Just use .mp3 ... It's the best format anyway... Everyone uses it :)

dont worry i found out the problem. soldat now uses that [IMAGE]ty m3u list which is very unstable. just selecting mp3s from the list was the best way

OGG should be the standard so he doesn't have to pay royalties.

wma is in some cases smaller than mp3, and in some cases the other way around. same kbs

quality has nothing to do between those files, it's the size that matters... I can have the same quality in wma than mp3, still mp3 might be smaller file size.
