should soldat have a tutorial mode for new players?
i think that is a really solid point.
i mean i've been playing soldat for about 5-6 months
(since version 1.2)
and it took me about a week to actually start using the grenades.
i don't mean as in a huge 30 minute tutorial; just one that shows players how to use the jets, shoot, USE GRENADES, go prone, etc.
this could aslo help experienced players if there is going to be a "grab" move in version 1.2.2 (if thats what its name will be...)
it could even just be a custom map with signs.

Well, there could be a tutorial map for new players.. With places to throw nades, use "kick-jump" and such. And there should be some text to tell you how to actually perform these things. (text: scenery)

I was thinking about makeing one earlier today. And, I was going through all the moves I would do.

there is a map i found in soldat teaching the different jumps. i'll find a host and host it.

theres a soldat map for kickjump.. it was on some serv,,

Yeah, I like this idea, but I also was thinking about putting out a user guide. Not like the manual though, more of a strategy/tactics guide for new players. Would this be ok, or should they find stuff out themselves? Unfortunately, i have no time to work on this guide meself. :(

Include a couple of climb maps in the next version. Then the newbies'll get mad sex on weels jump & jet skills after a few tries to reach the top.

It's not really usefull.
I learned to play by playing with bots a lot, and checking what button does what.
Then you practice and try everything possible.

you could always to training maps... maybe an experienced mapper with a lot of spare time could take care of that.
