this is a bit of a strange suggestion (i forum searched, nothing came up), but wouldn't it be easier if in the next version of soldat if the mapmaker came with the download? so what i mean by this is, at the top menu bar add a another option for the mapmaker.
though this would probably be a major code-eater in michals case, i think it would be easier for all map builders.

i think all the players are either going to agree or grill me on this...

I think it's not necessary. A nice thought, but how hard is it to download the map maker? Not very. Sorry. :/ Besides...don't some of the map makers have options to start up Soldat?

I don't think this is a good idea.. besides, as michal said, he gave up developing the mapmaker, so other people are programming it now, so which version should be built-in Soldat itself? Improving the Map Maker is a better idea, and as the geologist said, some of the map makers have an option to start up Soldat.
