Meandor, it's not supposed to be funny...In fact, I don't see how debilitating diseases could be funny in any way. It's just interesting to see what the body is capable of. The first man has a growth that he obviously couldn't stop, the second is able to stick his finger through his nose into his eye (not a disease, but a feat that will amaze anyone else), and the third has a common growth called a goiter (enlarged thyroid due to a lack of iodine).

As for looking through that site, I only did so because a friend recommended it to me so that I could get over my queasiness before I had to go through a five week process of dissecting a house cat tissue by tissue. We drained the formalin and cut the tails today, and I think the main reason why I didn't hurl was because I had seen much worse on that site.

if you look up the newspapers for 1999-2000 you will find a story about a helicopter in
papua new guinea being hijacked and flown by a bunch of prisoners.
my friend and i were at his dad's office building when it happened.
we were sitting on the office balcony and when we looked over to the other balcony
(about 15 metres away),
we saw this guy get mangled by random bullets.
not a very nice site.
i've seen worse stuff than that, and i pretty much think rotten.com makes fun of it in a sick way.
