Technacly "demo" is short for demonstration
and a demonstration is a preview of the full thing.

Therefore a preview of the program you are making :P

Those pretty much describe what a Soldat .sdm file is.

Maybe you could also tell ID software, since Quake3 is calling it demo, too.
