The number of the player? You can find it by bringing up the console with F1.

/SETTAEMx where x is the number of the team you want to change him to
PLAYER NUMBER is on the f1 menu and then push /
so if i want to move player number 4 to alpha team (team 1)
/setteam1 4

Actually, I think it's client-side only (both client and non-dedicated server). But I'm not sure about the dedicated itself.
