This tutorial was written by me as a fast and easy way to get the server up and running on your linux box. I am sure there are problably several other ways this can be done, but I was successful with this way and I hope this can help other users as well.

***EDIT***

Moved to Hyper-Gaming.com

Tutorial can now be found at this link.

Thanks :)
Working on Version 1.1 right now. I decided to tar the files and am going to add a section where people can download the files in SSH from my servers via wget. This may make things a bit easier and allow users to get files at lightning speed to their servers rather than slow uploads of 11 MBs.

:)

Thanks for the Sticky..

I fixed the tutorial for both standard download and upload functionality or you can download directly to your server from a tar ball I compressed and have available from one of my servers.

:)

*EDIT*
I added some forums to the site too for feedback or general questions about the tutorial and upcoming work that is to be done with it.

n00bface translation of what i just said:
http://soltutorials.u13.net is a new site that aims to be a collection of useful soldat-related tutorials. Add the tutorial if you can, but the site may not be complete enough that you can add tutorials yet.

I think PureGrain died or something. Everything that was ever affiliated with him is now done. I'll temporarily de-sticky this :(

PureGrain sold his company and took a couple of months off. He had not had a break in more than 3 years and it was well needed.

He since has merged into another company and will have SoldatServer.com up again along with several other sites.

The company who purchased my company has went through some major changes and took down those sites until they restructured. We are getting new servers online this week and should have things back in order by the end of the month.

Also, I sent the tutorial to Flies so he can put it on his site as well, so links should be popping up again soon.

Peace

the posts were almost a month apart, i generally dont double post.

btw your sig is longer than most of your posts and it is one of the few illegal signatures that actually can be annoying, mind changing it?

ComplePanel is complete for SOLDAT. There is an online DEMO available from www.complepanel.com and no it was not tested in Opera.

Thanks, I used the edit scripts from EnEsCe's control panel he has. It is not as functional as I would like but it is functional for now. It does not actually get the current files to be over written, it just uses a templated version and can over write the existing. I did however get it too pull some dynamic info from the database and add it too the proper spots. I am thinking I would make a form for the differant fields but was worried about it being just too bulky and messy. I like the simple and easy to use interface I have at the moment.

Thanks for your input. More good things to come from this soon.
