I've heard that there are turrets (stationary guns you can enter and shoot from) in Soldat. Where can I find them? Are they a random drop, or are they always there? Do you have to press a certain thing to get in them? Are they not even implimented yet?
Thanks in advance.

Stationary guns are map specific, meaning that they are present only when placed in a map during its creation. Also, stationary guns can be disabled on the server, meaning that they won't show up even if they are placed there.

To use a stationary gun, simply stand behind it and the stationary gun will follow your aim. You can fire a few consecutive shots before the stationary gun overheats. Be sure to watch the gun and pay attention to how red or overheated it is.

Okay, are there any maps in the unregistered version that have a turret?

Indeed. There are many maps that include stationary guns, and literally hundreds you can download. We have an entire section of the forum devoted to map making and sharing maps, so feel free to drop by there and look for some you like.

For your information, having the unregistered version of Soldat is just like having the full game. Registering Soldat gets you in-game MP3 music, the ability to choose a color for your jet flames, and profile support, among many other things. Soldat is shareware in the means that, Michal Marcinkowski, the author, asks for a donation for all his hard work, but it is not required by any means.

By the way, welcome to the Soldat forums, and enjoy your stay. =]
