the initial interface on my system is very slow/buggy ... the menus take some time to appear, and the tabs on the upper part of the screen appear after ~5 seconds... the game itself is normal...
My system is:
Windows XP PRO SP-2
Athlon XP/MP-1800
VIA KT 400 m/b
512MB DDR
GeForce2 PRO 64M
Onboard VIA sound
I also tried it on a xp-sp2 pentium3@1000 / Geforce2 MX machine I have and the menu behaves OK... I haven't got any other problems with other games/apps on my XP-1800 pc...
[EDIT] I switched to windowed mode, but it does not help, here is a screenshot:

Until the upper buttons are loaded (in the screenshot they are missing) the menu responds slowly, and I can change tabs by clicking on the empty space (where a button should be...)

I have found what causes the slowdown in menu, it is KASPERSKY ANTIVIRUS... if I disable it, the menu is FAST, re-enabling KAV makes it slow again... my other pentium3 does not have KAV :)
