Custom map and multiplayer problem

I guess this problem has already been posted but since the search feature doesn't seem to work over here I'll post it anyway.

I made a map with MapMaker 1.2 and decided to send it to my friend to try it in multiplayer mode. So I sent him the PMS file and told him to put it in his map directory. But then, he couldn't connect to my computer at all. And it wasn't me cause we tried another map shortly after with no problem. And when I tried to switch maps during a game, he got a "socket error" message. He and I can play alone or with bots with no problem but the multiplayer mode just won't work.

Is there something I did wrong? Is there more than one file related to my map?

Thanks

Maps are mainly composed of the PMS file, and any scenery or textures you used to create it. If you only used default textures, then you should only have to distribute the PMS file.

There have been a lot of issues reported with playing custom maps. Have you checked to make sure your Soldat port, plus the port 10 above it, are both open? (for example, port 27073 and 27083)
