INF Lighthouse - uphill-stationary gun-madness!

Prepare to meet inf_Abel's match. : p

This map may seem pretty unfair for red, but keep in mind:

1. The black flag is directly above the white flag, so capturing is a breeze when you grab it. Just go down the tube!

2. There are three routes to the top. Although the icey tunnel in the middle may seem hard to get up, it is possible. The blue team has 2 stationary guns, but you can easily duck behind outcropping land to keep safe while climbing.

3. there are multi routes into the blue base.

I hope to get lots of positive comments on this map, I think the gameplay is awesome. Try climbing the hill on the right when a bot is manning the stationary gun, it is very hard to do!

great map.

Pros:
excellent stationary gun placement
not too hard but a challenge for both teams
layout is superb and awesome
like the tunnel
color scheme is awesome and classic including the background color

Cons:
flags are a little close
few safety positions (places where red team can take cover from fire)
missing some scenery graphics in result of white spaces, please update with the scenery grpahics.

Overall i love this map and i give it a 9/10. i play this map now on a basis in INF. keep up this and i will praise you! while your at it can ya give me a few tips on making maps ^_^

I put a deliberate bend in the tunnel to {hopefully} render m79 n00bing obsolete. No guarantees though.

Also, could you point out where there are blank sceneries?

that tunnel to red flag is a new and very good idea. making an inf map is fun with this kind of arrange on spawn. nicely done of layout, spawn and size of scenery and the path.
-
dark. it'd need more light, other texture or bright background to distinguish a space from a polygon.
left boat is not normal polygon and i can't get on it.
the lighthouse has little small entrance and secure. but i don't know how it can have another design. more jet fuel will mess the mountain feeling... fmm.

Damn nice map.
Good use of that texture. Most of the time it looks flat, but you made it look good.
I like the colour variation all across the map. Nice scenery effects.
This map should be put on some good inf servers.

...heh..I tried to jump on that boat, but you know what happens :9

The blue's really keep the white flag covered, good waypoints.
I don't really like inf much, but this was cool.
Good Job.




It would be cool if you could jump on the boat and get a little cover there.

This map plain rocks in every aspect. It looks and play awesome and is even waypointed well for some fun zombie matches. Don't forget to read the name of the ship :D

I want this on some servers.

Thanks for the positive comments everybody. I wasn't sure how to limit the amount of m79 laming... If i make the jet levels lower, it gets WAY too unfair for red... It's like a massacre..

You did the best you could I think. The only other possible solution I could think would be too put colliders in the tunnels, but that'd be bad...

I just tried defending on my own against 12 red team bots... It's fun to alternate stat guns! :p

Actually, it's jsut a pokey the pengiun comic with a picture of my soldat pasted into it...

But i'm currently beginning a comic which i hope to transform into a flash series : D

very nice map, but...

- there are several bouncies in the tunnels that should be removed
- imo the lower part needs some more shading. The upper part looks great, but the floor is kinda unshaded.

Could you possibly get a screen of the bouncies?

I have played the map for a while, i didn't find any bouncies yet...
