I was wondering if there was anyone out there that would, if this post got some support, host a server for some oldies soldating. That way we could show everyone what it was like back then. Maybe you could contribute your server on the weekends and such?

He's not talking about some elite society where only vets get in, he wants to host a server to show anybody who wasn't around back then what it was like.

like well, in the summer it would be my third year cos.....I played a year, stopped a year, then ill have played another year so it will be like 2 playing years :D.

it could be anything before 1.1.5. if you wanted we could have like a 0.9.4c party and every weekend go up a version. like after that do 1.0.5b and so on. i think it would be awesome. if you want any of these soldats go to my website: sf.u13.net i have most of them there. Im still trying to find a few on some old disks. What do you think of the version progression idea?

i think that it would be cool for there to be a few servers if we could find some(that way it would be less crowded), and anyone could join them. Maybe there could be just one server for really old vets to play and reminisc(spelling?) in.

People will all claim they started playing since 1.0.5b or before.

I think doing it with people of the old DNAgames server is good, like in the time we all used barrets and nobody whined about it.

the more i think about it, the more im warming up to setting up the 1.0.5b server, at least while im home next week I could run it for a couple hours per day maybe
