How many people would my dedicated on my other computer host without severe lag?

Upflow was anywhere from 3500 to 8300 depending on which site I used, and the size uploaded.

Im looking to host 8-12 players. If that isnt enough, does anyone know any good (reliable) game server hosting companies?

If your upload is above 1mbps, then you will have no problem hosting 8-12 people in your own country, so 3mbps definitly suffices. You could probably host multiple servers if you wanted.

I monitered my server, with 24 clients it was doing 120kB/s throughput (just about 1mbit)... with your link it sounds to be fine.

By the way, is that a residential line? 10mBit is nice :)
