If you like music, you should really join Audioscrobbler.

What's it all about? Click on the link in my signature or here to see an example of what it can do.

Taken from the site:

Audioscrobbler builds a profile of your musical taste using a plugin for your media player (Winamp, iTunes, XMMS etc..). Plugins send the name of every song you play to the Audioscrobbler server, which updates your musical profile with the new song. Every person with a plugin has their own page on this site which shows their listening statistics. The system automatically matches you to people with a similar music taste, and generates personalised recommendations.

You can join groups that share your taste in music and discuss music in forums.

Tons of dynamic statistics are at your disposal.

In time, the system calculates your "neighbours", who listen to the arists/genres as you. This makes it possible to discover new bands in the same genre.

The possibilities are endless. If you register, post your username here.

You can also post questions here if you're having trouble.

It takes the info from the idv2 TAG.

No 'recently played' tracks to display at present.

Seems to me the database is screwed up at the moment... :D
Britney Spears? You think a cool, grown up pokemon lover like me'd listen to that? :P

Tha Doggfather

Theyre actually called ID3v2 tags ~_~

Just highlight a song in your Winamp media library and press ALT + F3

You can also select a bunch of songs and right click, and then select "edit selected items"

Well, I don't know what's wrong, the id tags check out. I listened all the way through Dragostea Din Tei and audioscrobbler couldn't pick it up. Boo on audioscrobbler.

Did you download the correct plugin worm? You could have downloaded a plugin that was for an older version.

Does it show up in the plugin list in Winamp? (preferences>plugins>media-library)

just waht they need more visitors to slow down the updates :( lol...people donate plz!! Just read the forums, their new 'all of a sudden' influx of visitors has caused them to be run down. There is not enuf CPU i guess to run everything and they are in the process of updating. Thats why it takes so long.
