I decided to start my own map, one of my first..this is my first attempt at really using shading in the map..so, here it is

Its a DM, by the way and its a pretty big map, so its for lots of people

Looks very nice, but the lava looks a bit strange, change it's shading and it will be great. ;)

I dont know how to make it look better though..should i go from (top to bottom) maroon-blac-maroon-black-maroon? this way, itll be opposite of the color around the lava..and does anyone have ideas for the surrounding parts?

...Or just don't use shading in the lava, because in real life it's so bright.

So what color should i make it? maroon ..yellow?

The lava looks fine (a little less yellow would be good)...I should know :/

Lava - Red, orange, some hints of yellow or white, maybe fading into the brown/grey rocks that would form as the lava cools. It's molten rock, so it's bright..the "moltenness" also kinda kills off any good color..it's so hot it's just red/orange and glowing. But, that's just obvious...
