In most forums, the code tags (ie. [code ] and [/code ]) are made so that you can not only seperate any kind of computer code, but so that you can show people the forum code without it actually working.

Unfortunately, here it doesn't mask the normal effects of code so that when we try to tell new members how to use code, we have to confuse them by saying,

"Use the code like this - [url*] [/url*] but without the asterisk"

And although that sometimes works, I find that more often than not, people just don't get it and it has to be re-explained.

So, is there any way to make it so that forum code doesn't work within the [code] tags?
