U.S of A does seem rather stupid at times. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to live in America, either that or Mexico, but some people are against America, mainly because of 'incidents' just like the Atomic Bomb. America's equivilent of Germany's Nazis. Something each country's people get crap about from all over the world, even if they're not at all connected to it. America is awesome in alot of people's views, but some people seem determined to hate it.

First, transit isn't an asshat. In fact, I could name quite a few people that I tolerate who are much worse than he was (while his behavior was limited to one topic).

Although this is nitpicking, the American's "Haulocaust" is generally accepted to be the indignities done to the natives. And while the atomic bomb on Hiroshima is isdisputably a horrible act, the second drop on Nagasaki is really the one that tends to be the more controversial attack (correct me if I have those backwards).

And finally, many Americans actually aren't very patriotic, just as I'm sure there are many non-patriotic types in any country anywhere.

Communism, sadly, is very human in nature. Nowdays it is associated with Leninism, which can only be started by a revolution. Try Democratic Socialism as a much more humane alternative.

BTW: Do you consider yourself patriotic, Vijchtidoodah?

You know why nobody's there? It almost never gets above 0*C, and it's complete daylight for half a year (summer), and complete darkness for the other half (winter).

I don't understand why people judge America on what President we elect. Sure, we're a major, major world power at the moment, but the majority of us don't even vote is my guess. Considering how many little kids there are, along with the mentally disabled and those that don't give a damn, I would think that many people didn't actually vote.

Either way, I don't want to bring another debate about presidents into this, I'm just saying that even though your "President" reason is a better one than "you're all assholes," it still isn't much of a reason at all.

I stand corrected. Those are justy my theories, but the part at the end was just a joke :P I know, I'm not an expert, but where I live, people do say pretty horrid things about America.

One thing this forum has tought me is, that stereotypes won't get you anywhere, and they're mostly bullcrap made up by people who have their heads in their asses.

Dascoo, you should try typing like normal people do, not like some CS convict. The other thing is, religion nowadays is not as strong in someone's life like it was five centuries ago. Most people don't take it seriously. Back in the day, christians only killed if it was 'justified'... like the Crusades. They were mass killing sprees the Pope declared. Most people who kill, either don't have strong beliefs, or they feel that their act is just. Soldiers are different: killing for your nation, defending it, is said to be just, even in the Bible, afaik.
