Okai, i had HL2 for sometime and one weekend (like month ago or so...) i just got into CSS... Yes i have played it short periods before, but from that weekend i played it like few times in a week. I thinked i've never get into CS after 1.5, but still... And now to the point. I must have CS mod in soldat, or i could not really play it... Or i can, but its feels weird... CS sounds are more soft than real soldat sounds.

Some other having this kind of mix-up or something... ?

Uhm, I like very "soft" sounds... It's just peaceful to fight for your life with that kind of style.

yea i have, but the ak, barrett/awm in css is louder then in soldat
since ive got it i never play soldat anymore i used toplay cs1.5 allot, it was fun bt bette in my opinion, css is to easy and h2 just sucks....

to me, a gun simply has to have a loud, cracking sound. soft sounds are for girls :)

When i say "soft" sounds, i mean they are smoother... Not talkin about loudness...

I have a few mods on my soldat version right now. Just take weapon sounds from different mods that sounds cool. But after I had to reinstall soldat, I played without the mods. i don't like default sfx too. it's stinging. do you guys know that a gun sound is worse to the sense of hearing than a loud machine noise? veterans could get nervous of sounds.
btw JVCS mod has good sounds that syncs with a gun's property. they are from the game you like maybe. and gfx is good.

Play without a sound like me.

silence is the best. sounds are pretty unecessary

i usually play with no sound. brings sharp aiming. could be a resource thing.

I played without sounds for a while. I am not as alert. i can't tell when someone is firing at me or from what direction. Playing without sounds helps keep you alert all the time. But the sounds help out in almost every situation.

to hear sounds is imporatnt to me... it reaveals when an enemy is coming, or if some peaople are fighting nearby..
