Which is better - Normal or realistic, and ofcourse, why?

Personally i find realistic the better.. i think normal is to damn slow..

real pisses me off with recoil and fall damage

Realistic

The speed is nice, and I like the added touch of the line-of-sight, so you can assasinate people without them knowing until the last minute


EDIT: Rhombous: Not what the last minute bit was related to, that was related to the assasination, when they don't know if you are behind them.

Realistic sometimes, I don't like it as much as I used to though.

Normal. Realistic is nice with bots.

Normal. It's more fun when you don't have to worry about fall damage.

Realistic, it adds a nice tactical touch to soldat.

Normal.. I play it mostly, but I think survival realistic is fun. but ONLY realistic is just annoying

Realistic, it's the only mode where weapons are really blanced. Realistic survival is even better.

I prefer realistic, but i dont play it due to all the Ctf Leagues are played in Normal, and most people/servers/clans play in realistic, so im sorry to say I play normal :(

Waaayyyy much more tactical, fun and balanced.

Realistic is by far more rewarding.

Too many of today's 'experienced' players just can't hack the slower more intelligent pace of combat required. Those that do however, get to play a game that rewards those posessing alert senses, reflexes, and tactical awareness.

In other words, normal mode is for noobs!

normal!! but realistic can be good, only with survival.. and thats only if your team mates are helpfull..

Realistic! It really brings out each weapon's strengths and weaknesses. Of course, I play normal most of the time, simply because there are almost never any realistic servers up.

you only like realistic because autos are useless and your deagles kill with two hits...

I like to mix it up, normal one day, realistic the other. It really doesn't matter to me. But if im looking to have a really good time on a server, I go to one which has realistic and survival mode. I find it can get retty good in user created maps and so forth, especially ones with a lot of cover, really makes it tactical.

Obviously Realistic Kicks the hell out of normal mode.. Then again, i think more people play normal in general.. perhaps that would change if real-mode was default instead of normal..
I think it should be changed..

Realistic. Takes skill, is more...realistic, and all around funner.

I like both equally, there's good and bad things about both...
Strangely, I have no trouble switching between normal and realistic.

I like normal more cause in realistic certain weapons r more powerful than others.

Realistic, realistic, realistic. Line-of-sight is so gorgeous it's not funny. There's nothing quite like sneaking up on a camper's hideout, and then popping up right in front of them and unloading a full SPAS in their face, insta-killing them. Freaks them the heck out.

And the weapons are balanced. It's just MUCH more obvious what the differences are. Sure, the SPAS can insta-kill. But if you miss the first shot, an MP5 player can kill you before the second shot can be fired. Ruger's the same way; it's only good if they have great aim and you're not dodging.

In short; the weapons are only unbalanced if you don't adjust your play style to realistic.

Realistic mode Rox Normal mode gets boring after a while

The shotgun is best on realisitc. On Rambomatch. On Shau. With Bots.

On the subject matter, I prefer realistic when survival is incorporated.
Realistic, survival infiltration is mighty fun and makes for good teamwork.
Other than that, normal will suit me fine when I want to play.

One hit, if it's a headshot. But actually, I use autos much more in realistic mode than I do in normal. The MP5 is insanely lethal at close range in RM, and the AK-74 and AUG pack quite a punch as well, though the Minimi has too much recoil for my taste.

Realistic is better, becouse it has some stealth elements and you must think before you fall, but it has some minuses, for example, the sniper isn't really useful becouse Ruger is almost one shot = one kill and it can reload pretty fast, so...but I think realistic is really more hardcore.

NORMAL, cause flying to a wall while jetpacking sucks enough :P

realistic. all the way. i like it when you ruger headshot someone and they instantly die.

I like Normal sometimes, but Realistic is always a nice challenge.
I like usin the ruger in realistic for the same reason as aznbl00d :)

Realistic. You can do much more things with realistic. Every weapon is usefull. No need to shoot so many bullets to your enemy.

Since I've been playing RS almost everyday for the last month,been an admin on IRS/RS/FF,and played it 9 hours STRAIGHT yesterday,I'll have to say RS.
I just like the speed and how you have to be so careful.

realistic, because fall damage, recoiling weapons, and more weapon damage are the best, one time I ran a server and this guy was getting pissed when I kept one-hit killing him and we changed to normal and that was stupid.

I like normal because it offers a challenge. I'm definitely a Ruger guy, and on normal mode there's a sort of satisfaction I get when killing Barret users. On realistic it's pretty much one shot kills which is exactly why I hate the Barret.

Normal.All weapons I like are uncontrollable in Real.

No, it's neither. The M249 is one of the easiest weapons to handle, and one of the most powerful.

m249 is too easy too handle. anyone can get good at it very quickly (im trying to avoid calling it a certain type of weapon). and you dont think its overpowered on realistic mode?

Realistic is best by far.. in Normal it takes ages to kill somebody without using barret or M79 ^^

Realistic is ok, but online it sucks, it lags and it's very hard to kill people with realistic on. I prefer normal.

It is that if the weapons seem not similar.
But normal is the most played, and the more fun I think.

I like both, really. I play normal the most, but I love real/survival with friends or at LANs. Just real by itself sucks tho. Hard as (please refrain from swearing) to be a flagger.
