By the by, he was a Commander, and he was proud to be a commander. That gives you some sort of responsibility, like knowing the forum rules, and not posting not accepted links even tough others do.

You can always get around the forum ban code, can't you?

if its an IP thing, IPs can be change, new mails can be made, new account name, so how can u prevent people from making new accounts (if you really want to keep them from doing so)

i thought if you're banned you are not supposed to create a new account...thats what happenned to Sprocket he made like 2 more accounts
anyway...i agree with FLAB about giving him a second chance to learn a lesson but also agree with the mods here because he was a "Commander" and should have know better. i say 1 month ban

Really, it was just his forum username that was banned, so he hasn't lost access to the forums. Consider it just a huge, permanent post-fine and a new start.

@Ninja: Think of it as a risk vs profit situation, unbanning MercyM would only amount to a mod, whereas unbanning Enesce would amount to some good programming work being done. Plus, nobody needs that kind of porn around here...

I am just stating the point that even a hacker get a second chance, why couldn't MercyM deserve one also? If DNA.styx wants to be strict, the hacker should've never come back. Doing some 'good' programming shoulnd't affect being unbanned IMO

The fact of the matter is, it was Styx's decision to unban him and ultimately, Michal's decision to allow him back. Mercy was warned, new the rules, and didn't edit his link in time. I wouldn't expect a second chance if I did the same thing.
