I got these bugs after I updated my nVidia Geforce 2 drivers to the latest drivers. This happened a while ago. I've tried old drivers and they seem to work, however using really old drivers seems like a bad idea. What is the latest driver I can use with my video card that still works with Soldat?

All depends on your system. There is no set rule.
