Ok I think SpyWare has found new ways for Firefox Users to get it...Listen I dont know if this is just me or its for everyone.If you stay idle for awhile,you will get popup messages that download programs into your computer.If you try to uninstall it you cant..its full write protected.These popup messages arent FireFox popups...they are Internet Explorer popups to surpass the popup blocker.So please be carefull of these,close the window immediatly.I already have 7 programs I cant even delete.

Silent, that seems to have nothing to do with Firefox. You probably got infected _BEFORE_ using Firefox.

Try to get rid of them with Spybot or Adaware (google it).

OK, what? I'm guessing you already had spyware, but even if this were true a simple firewall should stop it...

get:
Hijack This
Spybot-Search and Destroy
Adaware
Spyware Doctor

run all these, delete anything the last 3 tell you to, and send the report that Hijack This gives you to their forums, and they'll tell you what, if anything to get rid of.
then try all this is safe mode.

grab yerself Webroot Spy Sweeper and run a deep scan.

Start->Run->msconfig->[BOOT.INI]

Check the box that says to boot in safe mode, click apply, and restart your computer. Voila, safe mode.

In safe mode, you can delete anything. This means be VERY carefull of what you delete. Because I know what is and what isn't supposed to be there, I usually just go to C:\Program Files\ and look for anything suspicious. If I find anything, I delete it.

If you want to take the safer route, boot in safe mode and use a spyware scanner. Any of the above-mentioned ones work.

And if the popups are in IE windows, then it's most likely not FireFox's fault. FireFox is substantially more secure than IE is.
