I just installed Soldat 1.2.1 and ran the program but straight away an error appeared. The error reads:

'Error initializing 3D hardware. Your hardware doesn't support DirectX 8. Be sure to install the latest video drivers. Now software will be used'.

Then the window appears, but whenever I join a game it's just a black screen..

I'm using DirectX 9c and Windows XP.

Anyone know the problem?

It's a hardware compatibility error:Make sure you have the latest DirectX driversTry running the game in window-modeChange the Windows desktop colors from 32-bit to 16-bitTry changing some Soldat Config settings (turn off Antialiasing, check 16-bit) Install the latest or different video driversTry changing the windows desktop resolution and bit-rateTry turning down or up the graphics hardware acceleration (My Computer/Properties/Performance/Graphics) Try updating your motherboard driversIf you have Windows NT/2000 install the latest service pack
