Well, I was just wondering if there is any programs out there that allows me to record high quality (128k) .wav files without the use of a mic, meaning it receives the sound from the computer itself.

I don't know what you mean by "128k", but Audacity can record from the computer.

Use sound recorder.

In the advanced menu, where it has the volumes for all the different kinds of input, the one on the far right will be muted. Unmute it and mute everything else. The one of the far right records whatever sounds the computer makes. Good for recording music that you aren't allowed to download without having to hassle with warez or anything.
