Uhh, I have been on vacation for a while, and when I check the forums, theres a passworded thread with the caption saying MM selling Soldat to EA and turning it into a FPS, can anyone tell me details?

Hmm this sounds weird.. I think I saw somewhere that this wasn't true.

It's a joke by a moderator...I mean, why would EA buy Soldat when it's got a generally small fan base compared to it's other games...and then turn it into a FPS, which would obviously keep none of the soldat elements, being in a 3d game....let's think :)

I hope its BS. Soldat is 2D and thats how I like it, I would consider playing it if it were a 3rd person shooter. But yeah, lets hope its a joke.

hehe it'd be great to see the game ported to other systems, like a PSP. Man that would so be fun. That way i dont have to lug around my 10lb laptop XD.

People are able to play homebrew games on the PSP... i just hope to see somethin like that for soldat.

it's been tried. soldat needs direct x. psp cant handle it, so i've heard.

i cant understand how anyone would believe that.

EA games would make a new "soldat" in like 50 minutes:p

If they did buy Soldat, they'd make hundreds of technical detail-chnges, like no two snowflakes look alike, but that's only if you look closely enough.

I could see soldat being ported to that new gameboy, seeing as it has a touch screen that could mimic the mouse's controll capabilities.
