Backup HTTP Soldat Lobby:
The Official Soldat Lobby is automatically backed up onto my website every 5 minutes and every time the lobby page is visited. The reason for this is that whenever the lobby goes down, if you go to the URL below the latest saved backup of the lobby will be displayed to everyone who visits this URL while the lobby is down.

I am not sure whether it will be useful, because the Soldat Lobby has a backup server arleady. When one goes down, the second lobby server is used.

But good job anyway... you could add some special features like a search engine, sorting, favorite servers stored in cookies etc.

I mean when the HTTP lobby goes down, im guessing the backup lobby you are reffering to is the selfkill one?

I'm not too sure where this should be either :/ I think Server Corps is the best place for it (moved).

Yeah, but the Selkill Lobby is accessible via HTTP as well: http://selfkill.com:13073/ Though I don't know if it's available when the original lobby is down.

I'm not saying your backup is pointless... But if you would add some extra features, it could be useful not only when both lobbys are down. The two HTTP lobbys are pretty rough. Just a suggestion.

Edit: The difference is that my version parses the HTML, so later on you can filter the list by game mode.

Yeh I know yours parses the HTML, I dont know enough PHP to do that though. (I was originally going to do that aswell)

I might add some filters to it, and possibly country filters based on IP ranges. Only once ive learnt enough PHP :P I did know about all these other alternatives but I still wanted to make my own just for the experience.

Yup, good luck with your version as I probably won't change anything. It's only updating whenever my computer's running :)
