Hello there folks, I don't know if you heard about the SEC broadcast (Check Soldat.pl for news about the SEC finals).
But that inspired us lot to use the already existing Soldat Radio and actualy broadcast stuff!
So we have a crew and we are being supported by www.selfkill.com.

The radio is up and running at all times, but we don't broadcast all the time, if you wish to broadcast something, even just DJing a bit just send a request through the website: http://radio.selfkill.com/

OR! you can join our IRC channel #soldat-radio @ Quakenet and find out news in the topics and make requets online.

For now the upcoming broadcasting is a news flash about soldat events, you might want to tune in and find out some facts you didn't know about the happenings in the Soldat World.

First news broadcast on Saturday 30/07/05 @ 20:00 GMT -- LIVE!
Second news broadcast will be a replay of the first one (recorded) on Sunday 31/07/05 @ 18:00 GMT

Yeah that was probably me. We spent hours trying to fix a problem where multiple people could talk to each other and broadcast it on the radio. Finally managed to fix it!

The best DJ so far is Outcast. He was on last night (this morning) from about 1 - 2:30 (GMT) with some awesome trance style music mixed with a few chilled out tracks and his loveable Russian voice in between; very nice.

I highly recommend more people turn up for his evening sessions.

Hiei is teh pwn with non-stop requests, gets a nice mix of stuff happening :>

I sure hope you guys are reading each other's posts, some say Outcast is a bad DJ, some say I am, some say I pwn some say Outcast pwns.

If you don't like the music. don't bash the DJ, just tune in later when your type of music is played.

Soon enough there will be a schedule and you will be able to know when to tune up for the stuff you like.

Is it possible to DJ without a microphone? And how do you DJ, just play the songs through winamp or whatever?

I'd like to DJ if I could get my mic working better. Anything from metal to trip hop, trance type stuff, jazz, chill out music...I have a beefy music collection just waiting to be used.

What is Soldat Radio currently set to broadcast at? I broadcast mine at 96kbps, 44.100KHz, Stereo and can run all sorts of programs without problems...

That was our FIRST broadcast, all the others were just music and some talks betwin from the DJ.

I am making an archive of the broadcasts, also after a show was broadcasted it will be availble for download untill the next time its on air.

We won't have ALL of them availble for download, not yet anyways :)

Well we're broadcasting on 112kbits per second.
That's about 13kbytes per second.
So if your connection is not atleast 20kbytes per second download rate, then you can't listen to the radio while playing
HOW ever, we have another server, and we might be started a dual broadcast! so one server is broadcasting on 48kbits and the other on 112kbits..
so players with slow connections will be able to lisetn to it as well.. even DIAL UP!

We'll be doing it when we interview michal so EVERYONE will be able to listen ^_^
