well... i get my internet through a router so i went through the tutorial thing about setting them up, but when i make a server it still doesnt register them in the lobby. so i htought it might not b my ports opening, and i was wondering if any one could tell me how i can check or anything i could try to make it work

ask someone els to connect to your server if he can then it's just not registering if he can't you didnt open your ports.
