i dont listen to anything with the mp3 player because i didnt register >_< !!

ahaha but i do keep winamp on, however... and i like to play the songs that get me into the mood to kill someone. here are several:

Ninja Gaiden 2 - UFO Mix
Final Fantasy VIII - The Landing
Final Fantasy VIII - The Legendary Beast

These are the songs I listen to and why I listen to them:

I usually play very well when I'm serious, but when I'm serious I don't have as much fun, so I play these songs to loosen up:

70's Porn Music (Title Track)
Black Lotus - Majic Ninja

When I want to play aggressive I play these songs:

Scotty D - Drop the Bomb
Prodigy - Breath
Prodigy - Smack my bitch up!
Let's get Dirty - Redman (All my Soldats!)

When I smooth it out on the D, I play these songs:

I'm the King - Grand Theft Auto 3, 5'9"
Cosmic Dare - Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts

When I need power up (which increases my accuracy by 35% ;)), I play out these songs:

SUPER BROTHER - Guitar Vader (JET SET RADIO!) (WHO ARE YOU? WHAT'S YOUR NAME? SUPER BROTHER!)
Dragula - Rob Zombie (Jet Set Radio Remix)

I have yet to register, but once I do, I can't think of anything better than a complete Krisiun playlist to play Soldat to.

illicyx
February 10, 2003, 10:17 pm
I haven't registered YET but I will have some fast metal stuff in there, like SlipKnot and Static-X

A cool effect with the default songs is to set it to Bloody Soil or Gore (Necromonicide or whatever is terrible) and set the volume to 5-10%. Great ambient effect.

(Edit: SoldatStriker - Powerup? + 35% accuracy? I doubt you mean a powerup from the game...that is ridiculous!)

Yes, powerup. I've been powering up in Soldat since version 1.05b. All Strikers from Strikerostan have the ability to powerup, to compensate for their horrible aim. Some power ups in the past have been:

Striker powerup! Double M79!
Striker powerup! Shots are now 35% more accurate!
Striker powerup! Speed and mobility increased!
Striker powerup! Megaton Heavy Weapons!
Striker powerup! Taunts are now 45% more accurate!

Nice Guy with a Gun learned how to powerup by observing Strikers, and to this date is the only nonStriker that can powerup.

Nice Guy powerup!

A Nice Guy's powerup is known only to Nice Guys however. My guess is that it would powerup their sniper damage by 15%.

Some other Striker related battle cries are:

Oh, that bad?
Gotcha!
Atari!
You've just been hit by the magic bullet!
MOUNTAIN SPLITTING WAVE!(Used by Jet Tengu!, a level 5 Striker.)
Shazbot!
LIGHTNING SHOT!
SHADOW LOCKE DASH!
And stay the [:-censored] out of my gin room!

And finally, the uber classic:

Striker Specail!

(A Striker special is a M79 grenade launcher snipe from one screen away.)

Necromancide is an amazing song... it's easily the best of the three.

February 11, 2003, 12:13 am
Necromancide is indeed good. Reminds me a lot of Guilty Gear music.

I have MDM's "Darkstar" as inspired by |bt|'s old clansite and some Pop Will Eat Itself. A cool feature for the mp3 player would be to just choose a directory and run thru all the songs in that, coz I don't feel like copying all my Infected Mushroom mp3s into my soldat directory :P

February 11, 2003, 12:35 am
Oh god how can you say that? Necromancide doesn't have the Soldat feel! IT's like some cheesy Ghouls 'N Ghosts halloween theme!

February 11, 2003, 3:27 am
i think necromancide goes well with maps that have weather effects like mr. snowman and storm.

Anything by zAo, Norma Jean (Luti-Kriss), scarswillfade, or .hopesfall. Other than that, just nice silence (besides the gunfire ofcourse). And btw, Slipknot and Static-X isn't fast metal lolol. [;)]

SOme of their songs are played fast and are good for me to game to...but I know they aren't 'Speed Metal'.

I personally like Necro as well. It takes a bit to get going but after it kicks in the beat just keeps pumpin'. Good stuff.

and yes... the punk I've chosen for some reason has a thing with "still." eh.. what are ya gonna do?

--BSG--
March 3, 2003, 4:58 am
Shangzung: Oi! That's awesome!

to all: I'm the guy who made the music.

To those who like Necromancide: Glad you like it! That one took the most time of the three, because I was working with strings and synths and such rather than just guitars and drums.

To those who hate Necromancide: Hey, at least some of you said you liked the other songs, so I'm happy. The reason it sounds so different from the other two is because Michal (I think that's how it's spelled), the REAL genius behind Soldat, asked me to make a kind of gothic sounding song. If you think that's bad, you should have heard some earlier versions of that song. That's probably the eighth or ninth version I made. That one took FOREVER!

Michal Marcinkowski
March 12, 2003, 3:57 pm
Hey, BSG is the genius behind the music:) I just asked him to do a gothic song and he did exactly what I had in mind.
Great to have these kind of people working with you.

Ok, G2KT, to listen to the songs outside of Soldat, download Winamp at www.winamp.com. Then, run winamp, open file, and go to your soldat directory, subdirectory modules. There ya go!

Nine Inch Nails (the genius composer Trent Reznor one-man-army-band) - songs like The Perfect Drug, Reptile, The Becoming, The Great Below, and a lot more...
A Perfect Circle - Hollow, Thomas, Breña, et cætera.
Alice in Chains - Down in a Hole, Dirt, Would?
Candlebox - Understanding, Vulgar Before Me, Bothered (acoustic), et cætera
Deftones - Lifter, Root, et cætera
Evanescence - My Immortal
Faith no More - Be Aggressive, Midlife Crisis, Epic
Fiona Apple - a lot of songs from her first album (Tidal)
Incubus - only songs from older albums, like S.C.I.E.N.C.E. or EP Enjoy Incubus
Jeff Buckley - Grace, Mojo Pin, et cætera
Mad Season - I Don't Know Anything, Lifeless Dead, Long Gone Day, River of Deceit and Wake Up
Massive Attack - complete last two albums (Mezzanine and 100th Window)

Mr. Bungle - RETROVERTIGO hehe
Mudvayne - -1, Death Blooms, Dig, Nothing to Gein, Severed... last album sucks
Natacha Atlas - Leish Nat'Arak, et cætera
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - a lot of qawali songs from him (remember his contribution to "Dead Man Walking" OST?)
Pantera - they once kicked ass, I have as a reminiscence of those good old days 2 songs - This Love and Hollow (my favourite was [:-censored]ING HOSTILE)
Pearl Jam - I know, they're pretty much dead as it is, but I once was addicted to grunge, in my younger days back in the early 90's, when they were novelty.
QOTSA - once loved Kyuss, now I still like QOTSA (their evolution as a band, and the name of Kyuss' last album, for those of you who don't know it)
Radiohead - a couple of epic songs from them like the Pyramid Song, Everything in its right place, Street Spirit, Idioteque...
Scott Weiland and Stone Temple Pilots - still reminiscences of those old "Grunge Rules" days
Slipknot - Wait and bleed, Left Behind, Everything Ends
Smashing Pumpkins - only their early albums

Tenacious D - for a few laughs "[:-censored] Her Gently"
The Doors - hehe
Tricky - "A Ruff Guide" is a good place to start from

was it enough? you guys can't imagine how much it hurt to type this, I just broke my left arm lol

Forgot my own Industrial band, my current band... I'll probably name it later on ;)
