Hey im new to soldat and new to the forums anyway i have always wondered what weapon a rudar actulie is. i have been told that the rugar is a shotgun but also have been told that its a rifle, frankly i can see both being right so i dont know some one like to tell me what it is?

Yeah, the difference between rifles and shotguns is that shotguns shoot several little bullets and rifles shoot one strong and fast bullet

sorry about the spelling mistake im dislexic an dumb lol =P an i thaught it was a rifle for that same reason i thaught it wud be odd for a shotgun to shoot a very accurate single bolt.

so when my mate told me that it was a shotgun i reli didnt know what the hell he was on about.

Actually, rifles shoot a small bullet, only one. The sides of the inner barrel have spiraling grooves to make it spin, so it's goes pretty strait. Shotguns have big barrels with a shell in it, the shell explodes and propels a ton of mini bbs (duck shot) out. You can also put buck shot shells in (if the right size) which are bigger and used for deer. The shotgun and rifle in soldat are both ridiculously unrealistic, but fun :P

how are they unrealstic? a ruger WILL kill you in just 1 shot, but it takes 2 in soldatj ust because. the spas is well....a spas. im not seeing the unrealistic part.

The Ruger 77 is a regular bolt-action Hunting rifle, i belive the 77 is a mark for date of development (as in it whas made in 1977) while "Ruger" stands for the company..

Shotguns can shoot buck shot or a slug id like to see an option to switch from buckshot to slug
