Anyone know how to get this thing working? If you've ever tried Soldat in Linux, everyone knows the font is really the only problem. With this I would think that you would be able to fix it. But I have no idea how to get it working. I'm trying it in Windows, chaning the /Txt/Font.ini to use Arial and Comic Sans MS (testing it out :P) but it doesn't work. I try moving the fonts to the Soldat folder and still nothing. I try making a mod folder called font, with the 2 fonts in it, the Txt folder and a fon.ini using those fonts and running soldat with the -mod parameter and still nothing! How does it work?

read what I posted.

If that doesn't work, I have no idea why. Because I can change fonts just fine using the way I posted.

Well, i tried the methond. I put halo.ttf into my directory and changed my font.ini file to:

[FONT]
Font1=Halo
Font2=Halo

(yes the name of the font is Halo)

And nothing happened. I even tried deleting the font.ini file, and there was no error when loading.......

I read from the other thread that if you used the 1.2.1-1.3 patch, the font doesn't work. But if you download 1.3 full, then it works. Which one did u download??

Really? That's odd, then why is it even mentioned that the font.ini is for "mods and translations" if ony registered people can use em? :P

Thats just like you can only have reg interfaces if you are reg.

You don't have to be registered to change font, mickle89. I just confirmed it with someone else.

I found out the reason why, i updated the method in my other thread: http://www.soldatforums.com/topic.asp?topic_id=26241

Basically, you need to install the font in windows and also have a copy of the font in your Soldat directory.

Here is a screen of me using the Halo font:

Thats what I did before I had the key uninstalled and the font didn't change. Oh well.
