are the same thing? Could someone explain this to me?

I had an interesting idea for lava. It would be a non-colliding poly that did damge to the player whenever he passed through it or was touching it at all. Like, ACTUAL LAVA ZOMG.

Lava burns the player when the player dies, hurt doesn't :)

Actually, it doesn't. I played with lava and hurt polygons a few days ago. I didn't notice any difference :/

Then lava should act like FlameGod flames.

Lava should be like flame god flames, as Keron said, but they should roll down slopes at a steady rate.

Lava hurts you more than "hurt" polygons. That's the only difference.

But why make only lava non-colliding? You could have a checkbox whether to make the polygon a colliding one, so you could have, eg. passable regenerators. It might not be possible to do this without changing the soldat map format, though..

But I've heard of map editors that allow multiple polygon attributes...

i was fully expecting flames when i die with lava, but *surprise* i didn't, so i think that this would be a nice touch. :D
