So, what's your button configuration when playing Soldat?

This is mine:

Left mouse button to shoot
Right mouse button for grenades
W for jet
S for crouch
A and D for left and right
Z for prone
Q for switch weapons
R for reload
F for throw weapon
Space for jump
T for chat
Y for team chat

Just being curious. May have been discussed before, but I decided to bring this up. I personally love my settings, tell us yours.

i use the default config unless i can be assed to change keysets in my zboard

things that arent default:
Y for chat
T for team chat
(nasty quake 3 habbit)
middle mouse button for reload
mousewheel for switching to secondary weapon

hmm fluffy.. space for jumping and W for jet? that's some wicked shiet.

All thats different on mine is [Space] for chat and the [Up] key for team chat. Everything else ish default. =3

All default except for nades: Spacebar
Oh, and scroll mousewheel down for reload.

I use the arrows on the keyboard to move (I forget what they are called)
Enter is to throw nade
Shift is to switch wep
Ctrl is to throw wep
0 is to reload
Shift is to prone

Uhm thats it.

right shift = nades
left click = shoot

centre mouse button = throw
y = chat
u = teamchat
w = weapon choice

Everything is the same except for my prone, which is the spacebar instead of x. I like having my thumb ready on the spacebar for quick prone and un-prone.

I play using all defaults (the first one in the topic? ;d)

i cant stand arrow keys, idono why but it just pisses me off, i use default

arrow keys : move, jump, crouch.
left mouse : fire
right mouse : jets
mid mouse : reload
mouse wheel : switch weapons
right ctrl : nade
right shift : prone

t : teamchat

all default except
space=nades

My controls are pretty much standard

WASD- Controls
T- Chat
Y- Team Chat
E- Nade
Scroll Mouse- Weapon change
MB1- Shoot
MB2- Jet
MB3 (Scrool button)- Weapon Drop

Playing on the laptop it's all standard except Space is shoot and V is jet.

Mostly default, these are different tho


Shift= Change weapon
ctrl= Trow nades
Space bar= drop weapon

i find this works best for me, i've tryed a ton of different ways, but this seems to be the most usefull

not much stayed from default:

WSAD - controls
E - prone
R - team chat
Shift - chat
Space - nade
Crtl - drop wep
mouse wheel - change weps
mouse 3rd button - reload

But for like the last half of a year i've got to a point when default is the best.

How does anyone use f to throw a knife??? Notice how apart from switching weapons, my fingers never leave the basic movement controls.

Yea, a different settup, but it works for me.

All default except Left mouse button both for shoot and granades.

i dont like to change m config. cause then i cant get use to it, dont like it, or forget it too much. default for me

I can't stand arrow keys for movement, I have limited deskspace and if I use arrow keys and mouse I end up looking like Stephen Hawking ;)

lol, my prone is my mouse wheel. so its easy for me to prone. and my movements are from arrow keys and the shif and alt and 1 and 0 do stuff to ;)

But since 1.3 is out... :S I'd been forced to change it cause I couldn't configure Alt key for change weapon function (Why¡¡?). Nevermind, Now I'm trying to use this config:

Left = H
Right = K
Jump = U
Crouch = J
Prone = M
Nades = Alt Gr (on the right of Space Bar)
Fire = Left Mouse Button (LMB)
Jet = RMB
Change Weapon = Space Bar
Throw Weapon = Middle MB
Chat = Y
Teamchat = T
Reload = (dunno,I still don't use it)
Weapon Menu = P

But I had some problems with the Windows key beside AltGr. I always hit that key instead of AltGr and then soldat minimized, appears the Start Menu and so one. Finally I've choosed to remove the Windows key from my keyboard. I almost don't use it, and I have another on the other side. Since this action was taken... no more problems :P.
