Hey hows it going..

well i just got the internet at my house, so i can use it at home instead of having to go to my office etc,

I was just going to download soldat and was wondering weather you can play on a 56k modem, because the last time i played was using cable internet and my ping was still shocking,,

Im living in Australia if that means anything to ppl from here that know what its like with ping etc,,

and also is there still the whole registering thingo?

Well from what I've heard if you can get a two-digit ping gameplay should be almost at its smoothest but that's just talk from other dial-uppers...

I believe you can still register soldat, and from what I heard it will be very laggy unless you get AUS servers.

i was a 56ker a long time there, and since im on dsl here/cable at work, i notice no difference in soldat at all. just stick to the aus servers, maybe some asian ones, but for north america and england you'll be vote kicked for ping rapidly :P

Enesce is hosting some nice Aussie servers nowadays I believe. You should be able to get decent ping there.

There are tonnes of aussie servers...in ASE i sorted them by country and Australia suprisingly has the most. Don't know why. Maybe we are just a 2Dness country.

Being an aussie, I would recommend GameArena, iinet and Enesce. They tend to be the best IMO.

hey moo, its =i|G={JwCk}. Enesce might be better but it only has one ctf (which is so full i have to wait several minutes to get in). If you have any other servers(INF, another CTF, a DM), plz tell me.
iinet and Game Arena have several servers each, so its easy to get into them.

their 9999 ping because ASE couldnt refresh them, but they exist :p
