i like the fact that you made the soldiers doing stuff, ex. messing with their guns, one looking at his shoes.

don't call it humor though. it's more, prince valiant-like. no humor, and basically nobody reads it. i like it though (i'm not saying i'm a prince valiant fan, i like your "comic").
