I have 2 computers hooked up on a Netgear router. I start up soldat and then go to "options" and make sure LAN is checked. Then I go to "start game" and then start. But when I go to my other computer and filter out servers by "local", nothing comes up. Even when I put in my IP from www.whatismyip.com
I also disabled my Norton Firewall.

You have to enter your LAN IP address, not your WAN IP.

Go to Dos and type "ipconfig"...The one below "IP Direction"...that's it, if im not mistaken.

When I type in ipconfig. The prompt thing comes up for like a split second and disapears.

You go to "Dos" by Start -> run -> "cmd"
