After installing sp2, ingame i get an error randomly saying my hardware doesn't support directx, but it does. Tells me to get the newest drivers and turn off antialiasing.

I have tried every directX driver from 8 to 90c. It works fine for minutes or maybe two or three hours, then it freezes and i`ll get the same error messages. I did also installe an older nvidia driver, but nothing solves that prob till now. Help plz!

I´m thinking about installing a second Windows XP without sp2, but that should act as makeshift only.

Make sure you have drivers that are specifically for Windows XP SP2, and not just previous drivers.

Attempt to roll your Nvidia drivers back to the 5x.xx series.
