I just realised that half of reged ppl got thier reg by using cracks and hacks (no offense to those who actually bought it). I was talking, but it seems that these people actually believe that cracks are legal... they say that someone bought the registering file and posted it up on the internet... I try to explain, that sooner or later, the crack won't work, or cause problems and that not paying for the reg is clearly illegal. They say it's not a crack, and tried to send it to me, but it's clearly labelled :"regcrack1.3".

They say that I known nothing about computers, and keep threatening to hack me among other things.

They also say that many people use it, and no one can catch them, (which i know is probably true.)

Maybe they actually think that cracks are legal... I know they aren't, but would people really use it because they think it's legal?

I mean, all it gives them really is jet colour and profiles, but i still feel as though they're wrong...

Anyway, cracks are illegal in some cases - if you crack an EA game, there's nothing wrong with it, it's not like they're going bankrupt or anything. But cracking games like Soldat (Games that are free anyway, and registering is more symbolical than anything) is a pretty stupid idea. So yeah, they're wrong.

WOW NO (Please refrain from swearing)! I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE, IS THAT AN WESTER EGG OR WHATEVER YOU PEOPLE CALL IT? IT MIGHT BE A VIRUS, YOU SHOULD CALL THE INTERNET POLICE SOME TIME.

Some very simple facts you should consider:

-Cracks are illegal ; but what this is about is NOT a crack. Its not because the file is labelled crackblablah that it is a crack ; this is mainly to attract other people to download it. The (Please refrain from swearing) thats happening is that people SHARE their regfile , and if theres nothing about it in some sort of Agreement then its all legal. Cracks are (as literally said) small "entries" or bugs into the program that make others enable to change something in the program. In this case nothing is changed in the program ; the .exe was not replaced , no special patch was applied or so.

-I guess that theres no agreement in Soldat that forbids the sharing of your license ; so maybe if some admin reads this its maybe not a bad idea to make one if there isnt such an agreement atm.

-People that are using those shared regfiles are not some Punks that do bad things all the time or those who dont have a life ; its mainly someone not able to pay for it. By this i mean that he/she cant pay via Paypal or something else simply because when your underaged its VERY hard to pay somehing thats not in your country. They could ask their parents but most of you know how itll end up.

-I, personally cant pay for it for the above reason. I would love to buy a reg but i simply cant pay outside my country. Though that is still not a reason for me to use the shared regfile. The shared regfile will only cause soldat to die very slowly as it expands. I love the community and i cannot agree with the people that use the shared regfiles but i can understand them in some way or another.

-Another solution that i could provide is an online database of regkeys , so that only lets say a regfile can be used 3times and not more (for LAN games or so) , based on Valve Steam. That could stop people from using shared regfiles.

But i cant make myself clear enough that i do not like that people that use the shared regfiles ; but i do understand why they do it.
